About Marta
Hi! I'm Marta. I was born in Porto, but the ocean pulled me south — I've taught surfing outside Lisbon for nine years now. I fly almost every month: competitions, board swaps, or just chasing a good swell forecast. Somewhere between my board bag and the check-in counter I realised the empty space in my luggage could matter to someone.
The first thing I ever carried was a wedding album for a couple who moved to Porto the week after their Algarve wedding. Watching them open it at arrivals — that was the moment I got hooked. Since then: camera lenses, a guitar, a very dramatic birthday-cake topper, and enough books to open a small library. Every handover turned into a good story, and a few into friends.
